have released their new book, 'Memphis To Nashville '61
' and our order is on the way to us now. This book gives a comprehensive account of the two Memphis charity shows that Elvis performed at the Ellis Auditorium on a cold day in February 1961.
FTD has released 'The Return To Vegas' and our order is on the way to us. This is the official release of the soundboard recording that Joan Deary planned as a double album release back in the late seventies. It's the earliest known professional recording from Elvis' 1969 engagement in Las Vegas. The original tape box has 'opening night' written on the back, but that's not the real date. Some experts believe it's from August 3, but we have no information whatsoever to suggest a certain date. However, the arrangements seem to suggest that this show is definitely several days earlier than the shows RCA recorded from August 20 and onwards.
FTD have released both 'Love Me Tender' 2 CD 7" Classic album
and 'Stay Away, Joe' (limited edition vinyl)
and our order is on the way to us. This 2-disc 7' set celebrates Elvis' first motion picture Love Me Tender from 1956. Elvis first performed ‘Love Me Tender' on the Ed Sullivan Show (September 9) and pre-sales reached over 1 million before its release on September 28. It features a 16-page booklet with great photos, movie trivia, memorabilia and full recording data. Disc 2 features the legendary live show from the Mississippi Alabama State Fair and Dairy Show held in Tupelo on Sept 26.
FTD have released 'Stay Away, Joe' (limited edition vinyl)

FTD have released the G.I. Blues FTD 2 CD Special Edition Classic Album [Vol. 1], in the classic album series. It is now time for the first volume of 'G.I. Blues' material. As always in a 7" inch digi pack format with booklet. However, this time without the In-and-Outtakes section, which will be featured in Volume 2, in order to summarize all the G.I. BLUES recordings. FTD have released 'From Hawaii To Las Vegas'. The CD is in the 5" digi pack series. The rehearsal was recorded from the soundboard at Elvis' January 25, 1973 Las Vegas dress rehearsal for his January/February season at The Las Vegas Hilton. The rough audio is more than compensated by the fascinating insight into how Elvis worked in order to create his shows. With little talk and a lot of music we are invited to a first row presentation of what he had in mind and yet he decided to change the repertoire the very next day. Among the many songs is 'Separate Ways', rehearsed with and without the orchestra, a song that Elvis chose to never perform in public. So an interesting CD release and one to look forward too.
We're proud to
show you some extra pictures of the upcoming SUN Bible A Boy From Tupelo : The Complete 1953-55 Recordings : Book & 3 CD Set, Ernst Jorgenson's masterpiece. The book is loaded with unseen pictures. It's hard to believe that so many photos were taken prior to 1956, in an era where photography was 'new technology'. Well, all the pictures are here for the first time with the exact dates and exact names of posing fans such as - see picture in the middle - Marileon Hopkins. Also note both pictures below. On the left is Onie Wheeler, on the right is Elvis. Notice something special? Indeed, Onie allowed Elvis to wear his country style jacket for one night. Same jacket, but a world of difference. And that's even without the 3 CD's! Our advice
: since there won't be a reprint, we recommend that you pre order your copy, so you don't have to worry about paying too much afterwards. Pre-order A Boy From Tupelo Book & 3 CD Set

That's All Right : Meridian : May 26, 1955
FTD will release Another Saturday Night in their 5" Soundboard Concert CD series at the end of April. If one place is to be picked as the most important in the career of Elvis Presley, it is without doubt Shreveport in the northwest part of Louisiana. The exposure that Elvis got through the radio broadcast of The Louisiana Hayride in 1954-56 was one of the key factors of establishing the early part of his career. With the exception of Las Vegas, there is no place where Elvis played more shows, and his return to the city in 1975 was like a homecoming to both Elvis and the many fans he had there since he started out. FTD have chosen to release the soundboard from the evening show of June 7, definitely a show that Elvis and the audience truly enjoy, and with a great set list featuring old and new favourites. 5" digipack with an eight-page booklet.
At the end of April FTD
will release Welcome Home Elvis
, a 260 page book covering the weeks in 1960 where Elvis regained control over his career. The format is the same as the well-known FTD book format (King Creole : The Music
and A Moment In Time
). The book includes: More than 300 photos
, many of them previously unpublished
, text by David English
and a CD
with the original mono master for
